Is it normal for you face to turn red while you are on accutane?

I have been on accutane for 3 months now and it has cleared my face of all the zits but my face has turned red... is this normal and will my face go back to normal when i am off the medicine?

Mine did that. Yes it is normal. It is part of the process. The redness went away and I did not have to have any further treatment.
Reply:Have you talked to your dermatologist? I'm on accutane now, but a low dose because my cholesterol is high, so the effects aren't that great. But all I've gotten is dry skin and cracked lips from it. If your face is cleared of all the zits then you probably should stop taking it, and then the red face will most likely go away. But again, talk to your dermatologist.
Reply:Thats what happened to my friend that was on the same thing, her doctor told her to drink lots and lots of water, she also had to have a chemcial peel done as well to get some of the redness out. Accutane as a lot of side affects. You should check with your dermo to find out what more you can do for your face.
