For about a month now I have been having severe pain. My cheek below the eye feels a little tingly, then my ear will hurt and my jaw is hurting. I have put numbing stuff on my teeth and it doesn't help. I did have an ear infection, but took antibiotics and it cleared up weeks ago. The pain sets in once the sun goes down and makes it hard to sleep. Sometimes it hurts before I fall asleep, other times it wakes me up. It doesn't hurt during the daytime. I have tried everything I can think of but nothing seems to work. The pain varies. Sometimes its just my jaw, sometimes just the cheek and sometimes just the ear. It feels as if there is a lot of pressure on my face. When I talk on the phone and have it pressed against my ear, it hurts worse. Also if I lay on that side it hurts worse. Any ideas?
Face pain below eye, ear pain and jaw pain, worse when sun goes down.?
It could be either allergy and sinus problems, TMJ, an impacted tooth, or your ear infection isn't fully resolved. All four of these problems can cause pain and tingling.
If the problem is sinus or allergy, you need to take an antihistamine or decongestant or both.
If the problem is TMJ, give the jaw a rest by eating soft foods, applying ice or moist heat, and avoiding extreme jaw movements (such as wide yawning, loud singing, and gum chewing) which are useful in easing symptoms.
If your ear infection has not completely resolved you need to go back to the doctor.
If you have an impacted tooth, you need to see a dentist.
Oh-h-h, I just thought of something else. The side of your face might be bruised from laying on the phone when you're talking. In that case, just apply a little ice and take a tylenol.
Reply:It could be the symptoms of Trigeminal Neuralgia or TMJ.
Do a search on both of those and see if your symptoms are similar.
Reply:Maybe a minor stroke. Go to a doctor soon!
Reply:If the dental workup, sinus work up is fine. Get a cardiac work up, those are all signs of heart attack.Take an aspirin, breath deep. If deep breaths make it better, its cardiac. Go to ER.
Reply:i agree with debobway,i think it may sound like you are having a stroke.see your doctore.DONE TAKE CHANCES
Reply:you are a warewoolf. no, i do not know. did you recently get thrown from a horse, if not, i have no clue.
Reply:you really need to go back to the doctor,a lot could be causing the pain infected ear ,sinus infection, tooth infection you may need a stronger antibiotic, also I have heard some people have jaw pain when they have heart trouble go see your doctor ,hope you get to feeling better 'try ice pack for pain and heat too .
Reply:Maybe a bad sinus infection
Reply:It might be sinus pressure from allergies. Is there mold in your house below the floors or behind the walls? Have someone check for it. Ask your doctor if it is allergies and get some medication for them. Even if you haven't had allergies before you could have developed them.
Reply:allegies, sinus?
