Face highlighter?

okay im so confused on what a face highlighter/illuminator does. i have medium brown skin tone, anyone knows what kind of highlighter to use?

i love to put some shimmer in T-zone and chew, coz' it can tone up my face and make my sky look more Perl

Reply:you will love benefit high beam. play around with a drugstore brand first to get the hang of it before you spend 20 dollars on benefit. try revlon skin lights in one of the bronze tones (they have fair, pink and bronze). i apply it above my cheekbones for highlights.

Reply:A highlighter is used on the face to help light reflect from an area. Usually drawing away from an inperfection. I use Estee Lauder Illuminator as a concelear or under my eyes to detract from the circles and blemishes. I think it is a great product. Sorry I am not sure where to find something like this for women of color.
