My face always turns bright red and all sweaty (well of course sweat...) when im exercising, especially when i put my head down, and it's super embarrassing, is there anything i can do to prevent i from happening?
Face turns red when excercising?
yoga might reduce that slightly, if properly utilized. or t'ai chi. Try to relax as much of your body as possible when exercising - i think you're tensing or clenching muscles that you shouldn't be. Loosen up your breathing a little.
Reply:If your working hard enough your face will turn red. I believe this happens to everyone?
Just curious, are the people you see that dont have red faces, are they REALLY working it?
Reply:The good news is, this is just the effect of increased blood-flow. It does look different on everyone.
It's funny how people like to point little things like that out. But hey - they've only been around a few years so anything seems new to them, right?
Now, there are times when a red face can kind of be funny. Like if you've ever said something nice to a boy and caught his face turn red... ;-) You just had a physiological impact on him! If you see his face is red, he probably has no clue what to say. :-P
I like going to lunch with co-workers. Whenever my boss has a cocktail he lights up red. Bright, glowing red. I don't mean he blushes - I mean he looks like his head is going to pop off! He can obviously feel the heat and gets nervous for awhile. It's funny.
All the Japanese girls I work with have the same effect but even just a sip of beer and they just turn soooo red. That's pretty funny. Still, it's cute. They're just plain cute - so the fact that one might get a little chuckle off it is likely in good humor.
I could be wrong on this one, but at least with persistence and intelligence I think confidence (not arrogance) is a good counter-balance. Just be confident, happy.
And keep it in context. The huge number of embarrassing things that COULD happen (and happen to people daily all the time) are mostly leaps and bounds beyond a cute lil' red face.
If you keep your cardiovascular system in good shape by adding to your routine a steady 30 minutes of walking 3 days of each week you may even (after a few weeks) keep your system tuned up enough to reduce the red-effect.
Plus, mention it to your doctor next time you visit him. Your primary care physician knows your physiology better than anyone right now. :-)
Reply:it means ur hot or just strained from lifting weights or exerciseing when i lift heavy stuff my ears turn bright red to and hot so it's no prolem
Reply:HAHA, that sucks, you should shave your head bald, then your head will look like a tomato....HAHAHAHAHA =)
Reply:Some people get hot when exercising...
Try a damp towel around the neck.
Reply:this is just you. accept it and it will ease the embarrassment. stay hydrated.
Reply:A simple anwser to a simple question, like when you wrap an rubber band on your finger it turns colors same thing with your body its not getting enough oxygen so keep your head up so your trakea ( throut) isn't bent to allow oxygen to enter your body. But if you have problems breathing you should see a doctor. But i think all u have is a case of normal as in everyone gets red and sweaty when they workout so i wouldn't worry hope this was helpful.
