I'm 16. I have this face problem when if it's dry, my face would be totally dry and my skin will have little cracks that can be peeled and when it's oily, it turns out to be very oily. What product can I use to solve this issue? And any other products that can get rid/hide pimple scars and prevent any pimples? I don't want to use foundation because I'm a guy. =)
I have this face problem. Anyone can help me please?
well whenever u strip skins natural moisture away(the skins natural oils) by using acne cleansers like clearisel/nutrogena/clean and clear, it dries out the skin very much. when this occurs, the skin send messages to ur glands telling them to produce more oil- meaning that ull get oily skin and more pimples.
so, the key to not get dry AND oily skin- is to keep the skin moisturized with its natural(good) oils and moisturizer, too.
below i made up a skin plan for u to follow, or at least take notes from:
morining- wash skin with a gentle cleanser such as spectro-gel or cetaphyl. these can be found at any drug store and walmart. Moisturze skin with a thin layer of any aveno, olay , dove or moisturel moisturizer. let dry.
evening(before bed)- wash skin with one of the cleansers i mentioned above, lightly moisturize with the same moisturizer u use in the morning. let dry. after the moisturizer has soaked up into the skin, use scar cream. these can be found at drugstores and wallmarts near the bandaids and ointments. feel free to choose any company of scar cream you want, just make sure its scar CREAM not scar GEL. dont put to much just lightly massage the cream into your pimple scars, not your whole face. after u have massaged that into the skin, use any spot treatment pimples cream or gel directly onto the pimples. not a lot just a little dab on each pimple.
fall asleep. repeat. ur skin should stop becoming realy dry and oily in about 5 days, and the excessive dryness should be gone completly in 2 weeks. the pimples will take time, up to a few weeks to disapear. the pimples scars should soften and look less noticable in 2 monthes, unless u also use the cream in the middle of the day. than it will take about 6 weeks instead.
p.s if the skin stings a little when u put moisturizer on it, thats okay ill go away in a few days its just not used to it.

Reply:u need to use a light moistusrer/ hydrator that is formulated for acne/oily skin. When applied on face, it shd be easily absorbed n not greasy and light feeling.Your skin is dry so it secretes more oil 2 moisture the skin n it becomes oily.
U can try tinted pimple cream which contain chemicals that can combat n kills bacteria in pimples and hide it at the same time.
Reply:There is a prescription product called Differen Gel and it is GREAT! You will have to ask your Dr. for it though. It is excellent to just "dry up" a zit when you get one, or you can use it on your entire face. It does dry though, so you'll have to use a good moisturizer too. It sounds like you have extreme combo skin, so you need to get a good astringent to use AFTER you wash with an oil free liquid acne soap. Neutrogena makes a good one~ And then follow up with an oil free moisturizer~Neurogena is good in that area too:) If you get a good make-up that matches your skin real well, nobody should be able to tell you are camoflauging your scars:) Or use a self-tanner/bronzer on your face, that should really help hide them, and you'll have a nice tan, natural look.
Good Luck!!
Reply:use some thing call "FADE OUT" and use Vaseline at night to get ride of the dryness
Reply:its because after you wash your face you should always use lotion so it doesnt dry up and if you want to prevent pimples then after you've washed your face then use a cleanser then put lotion
Reply:Mary Kay has some good product's for this ,including a moisturizer for this type skin,I use it and love it !
