I don't want to buy a lot of stuff on acne products that don't work (I have spent some money on products). How can I tell which place is better for me like clean and clear, neutragena (sorry about spelling) cetaphil, clearsil, biore, clinique. which brand should I use? I have dry skin. When I was my face it gets tight and u can see cracked skin. I have blackheads all on my noise and at the angles of my noise and I have 2 pimples that won't go away on my face. but otherwise I don't have that much acne. I really want to look good for the summer. and I would like to get rid of all of my blackheads and the 2 stubborn blemishes. I also use cetaphil bar soap in the morning and i put cetaphil mostrizing lotion on after i wash my face and I use clinique at night. my face is oily. hope this helps. thanks for your answers :]]
How to know which brand of face washes to use.?
I would keep using the Cetaphil cleanser or change to the liquid one. And then you should use an exfoliator on your nose to help with the blackheads. A little sugar mixed with a liquid cleaner will do the trick. Just use it once or twice per week, don't over do it.
Don't use acne products because they will make your skin worse. They don't work for dry skin. Make sure you are moisturizing enough at night. Have you tried Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream at night? It worked great for me when I was taking Accutane, which really dries out the skin. I just wouldn't use it during the day because it makes your skin shiny. Great as a body lotion for dry skin.
Reply:I'm confused about your skin type, but if your skin is dry use a cream cleanser, if it's oily use a bar or gel. If it's combonation alternate between the two. Always moisturize after you wash your face. If your acne is limited to some blackheads and 2 pimples then stop using acne products, they will just dry out your skin.
Reply:try St. Ive's appricot scrubs, the medicate works well, and if that doesn't work go to target and get the off brand (thier brand) it's soft and for oily skin. that's what i use
Reply:You've said your face is dry and oily? Do you have combination skin?
If you haven't for acne you shouldn't use acne products, that is why your face feels all tight, they are too strong. Use something a bit gentler, and use a stick for the pimples that won't go away. You might find that just be stopping using the acne treatment might help, because using them can make it worse if they are not right for your skin. Try Olay Clarify for combination/oily skin, or Olay Gentle for normal/dry skin. Use a moisturiser thats suitable as well... morning and night! Get one with spf in, as the sun can cause wrinkles as you get older.
Reply:well, the cetaphil bars work really well and as for the moidturizer, i'd use neutrogena, it's really light and doesn't leave your face oily. as for the blackheads, use something that has sulfur in it, not benzoyl peroxide or salycilic acid cause those can be really bad for you face
