What is a good face wash to use that wont make my skin feel dry after the shower?

i use ponds right now and when i get out of the shower and dry off my face feels soooo dry but then its ok once i put lotion on and the ponds i really like but i feel really dry after using it which face wash is good and wont make my face feel so dry?

You can't just wash your face--you have to exfoliate and moisturize. Mix your facial cleanser, or a gentler one like Bjore with sugar until it makes a paste. Rub that in circular motions on your face for 2 minutes, then rinse. That takes care of cleansing and exfoliating in one step. When you get out of the shower, pat your face dry and use a light moisturizer like St. Ives Collagen Elastin moisturizer. Take your finger and dip it into the cream, and rub it into your face. If you use just a fingertip's worth then you shouldn't have to blot your face with the towel again, but if you got a little too much feel free to blot gently.
Reply:First off, you have to figure out what skin type you have, then go from there. AFA amino acid skin care is a GREAT line, they have 2 different fash washes, but you definantly need to moisturize your skin. Your skin is like a sponge and has the ability to absorbe the products you lay on it. Oil of Olay, Ponds anything you get from a drug store has so much oil in it, it doesnt allow your skin to absorb the good things, like vitamin C. La Roche Posay is another really good dermatological skin care brand, you can only get it through a physicians office, but i know you can also order it online. I work for a Plastic Surgeon and we have a Spa that deals with skin care.
Reply:You should keep doing what you are doing, but instead of using lotion, try petroleum jelly. That is more healthy to your face and lotion has so many chemicals in it. Now the face wash is taking all those oils away that have accumulated the day before and so on.





So, stay on your same path and just use petroleum jelly instead of lotion
Reply:i use olay. i have tried many of the olay products %26amp; have been soooo pleased. right now i use the olay regenerist daily regenerating cleanser. I don't really need the regenerating part, but i love the way the cleanser makes my skin feel clean %26amp; not too over dry. But i do usually use lotion. Olay moisturizer with uv protection during the day %26amp; the olay night firming cream at night. Hope you find a product that works for you...Doesn't ponds have some new cleansers out as well?

Reply:use Cetaphil Face wash! It works so well and does not leave your face feeling dry. You can get it at most drugstores.
Reply:I use Purpose Gentle Cleansing wash. It's very gentle and you can find it at most drugstores. Get a good moisturizer to use afterwards. I use Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing lotion. It's pretty light so it doesn't make my face feel oily but still moisturizes it. Cetaphil is an even more mild face wash if you have dry skin.
