Face's of death video?

I have just watched the face's of death video online really not knowing what it was,i thought it was going to be a prodution horror movie and not an actual documentry ,i was shocked at what i saw.i did not watch all of it because my stomach would'nt handle it.I just want to know why would anyone make such a sick film because surely these can't be bought of the shelves and the internet shows these free of charge,so how do they make their money and why are these films allowed to be made?

Face's of death video?
What you see in the movie is a lot of special effects. It is not real. If you keep that in mind it is no different then watching a Hollywood horror movie.

If you want to see some real things that have been done, find the movie "Mondo Cane" (Dog World), from the 1960's. It only involves animals and some of it can be disturbing, but it is a pretty good movie.

We do live in a Dog World.
Reply:I think it's considered by some (not me) to be a cult classic. I've been invited to watch it, but each time I decline. It sounds disturbing and perverse. I prefer to be entertained, not upset.
Reply:This film has been around for years. I suggest you avoid looking at this kinda stuff and fill your head with more interesting facts like, did you know Elephants and humans are the only animals who have forward bending knees.

Peace out.
Reply:my friend how old are you? these movies WERE SOLD and RENTED at places like block buster etc in the 80's and 90's...since then they don't make them any more..and so that you know there are MANY of these movies made. i think like 5 or so. just remember something..i seen them being sold at fry's electronics recently as a pack

i agree its pretty hard to watch that stuff..and i'm a horror movie lover! but i really dont' care to see the real thing.
Reply:As far as I can remember this production was made in th early 80s. Quite simply it is a documentary about death showing actual footage of people and animals being killed.

It was banned in the UK for many years but I recently saw it up for sale in my local HMV branch on DVD.

I believe there has also been at least one sequel.

I watched a pirated VHS copy of this film in the 80s and can't say that I enjoyed it much either. I asked my friend to fast forward it during the monkey brains scene. I certainly would not want to see it again.

I guess the kinds of people who would enjoy it are those who have a morbid fascination with death.
Reply:I have seen all of the faces of death videos.....pretty sick huh!! And they only get more gruesome as the sequels progress!!
Reply:I watched it years ago, then i watched it last night on tinterweb,

I also heard a lot of it was staged, type it into google and see

for yourself.
Reply:seen it, most of it is FAKE, if you want real life videos try ( file cabi.com)...you have been warned...not a site for 18-.
Reply:They are all set-ups. Its not all real.
Reply:I have never watched one....what exactly are they doing in the video? Morbid curiousity gets the best of us sometimes. I know exactly what feeling you are talking about. Back one of the one soldiers got his head chopped off by Al Quaida, I saw a video of it on the net. I wished for days that I had not watched it. I felt so sick thinking about it!
Reply:they sell them at small little video shops..
Reply:They're totally legal.

I saw Faces Of Death for the first time 25 years ago.

They rented it in tons of video stores during the 80's %26amp; 90's.
Reply:Faces of death is actually mostly fake. The creator has been lecturing on truth in documentaries for a while now. Why are they allowed to make them? Because in the United States we are allowed free speech and the makers of "Faces of Death" did not harm anyone in the filming of the video. You can pretty much make a video about whatever disgusting thing you want unless some crime is occuring.
Reply:They have been around for 20+ years and have been and are still selling like crazy. It is actual footage when it is available but it consists of a lot of recreations.

It's a free country and you can make a film about pretty much anything but child porno or snuff films.

It's classified as a documentary so they can get away with a lot.
Reply:It was proven after the release that most of the footage on 'Faces of Death' was staged. Check it out on wikipedia.
Reply:Most of the scenes there are fake. The director was interview and he admitted to this. He even showed how the scenes were made to look realistic.
Reply:cough cough which site is it on so i know not to go on it
