Razor bumps from shaving my face!!!!!!?

Okay, recently I have started shaving my face (I'm 15, just started). I've shaved previously, but there was barely any hair on my face and I've never gotten bumps. Last week I noticed I've had razor bumps on my face (sideburns area). I shave once a day.

Questions:

-Should I use a disposable razor for sensitive skin? How many blades?

-What's aftershave do? Does it help reduce bumps?

-What type of shaving cream? Gel or foam?

Thanks.

The more blades, the better. Try Schick Quatro (i like those). I personally prefer gel, but I don't know what to tell you about that for your face. Make sure you clean your face before you shave! And clean the razor after you shave. You need some form of facial cleanser after you shave. I know this will sound like an old person, but try witch hazel :) smells gross, but it is very affordable and doesn't sting and dry out your face like alcohol. And it's used for skin irritations.

Good luck!
Reply:See the source below. It examines all aspects of the shaving.

Reply:Get a GOOD razor! Mac 3 or the new one with 5 blades. Make sure to first put a warm wet towel on your face to smooth your face and have it ready to shave.. Use a shaving cream for sensitive skin (gel) .. I wouldn't use aftershave.
Reply:simple answer dude...dont shave at all..you dont grow any hair..
Reply:Razor burn usually occurs when you use a dull razor. The heavyduty razors work best, disposables dull after the very first use. Aftershave is meant to moisturize the shaved area. Gel usually moisturizes better than the foam, as well.
