I hate being a teen! Well anyways is there something i could do, something to cleanse my face with, so its not so greasy? I do use face wash cleasing crap, but that does no good!! Please help!

How can I make my face, not soo greasy?
How should you get rid of the shine that accompanies an oily face? The best thing would be to splash water on your face as soon as it starts looking oily, and wipe it gently with a towel or tissue. You could also wash your face with a gentle face wash when it starts looking oily, but, once again, don’t use a face wash more than 4 times a day, as this may cause your skin to produce more oil.

However, washing your face during the day may not be very convenient, since you may not have ready access to a washroom. Or, you may have applied make up, and would not want go through the procedure of re-applying all the make-up after washing your face. In this case, consider simply wiping your face with an absorbent face tissue. Carry tissue with you in your bag at all times – it always comes in handy.

If you are satisfied with the lack of shine after wiping your face with tissue, great! If not, then consider carrying a compact powder case with you. Dab on the compact powder lightly, making sure it blends well. The compact powder should not be visible as your face will then look caked, and you will look older, and may even look a little haggard. Your compact powder may cause pimples too at times, so if you find your pimples increasing after applying compact, stop using your current brand, and try another brand after a few weeks.

To avoid any problems with compact powder usage, the best thing to do would be to remove the compact powder as soon as you get home with the help of a face wash or a cleanser. Also, never apply old compact powder on your face.

Use oil-free cosmetics as far as possible. Also, apply an oil-free moisturizer even if you have oily skin, as long as your skin is problem free. Although many beauticians feel that moisturizer is a must at all times, I would recommend that you lay off the moisturizer if you have pimples, until your face is clear.

Good luck babe xx
Reply:Always wash your face with warm water only.No soap.Don't hate being a teen. You have your whole life ahead of you.And no face wash cleansing crap on your face.It doesn't work.Warm water about 3x a day on a clean wash cloth.Hope it helps
Reply:I agree with the lady who suggested oil mattifier by MaryKay, it does work. They also have beauty blotters, which enable you to blot excess oil from your face throughout the day. My friend sells marykay, go to www.marykay.com/meredithsowa. She will send it to you via mail if you live far away.
Reply:Seriously not all face cleansing is crap.I use Ponds Cream Cleanser and Toner in one and it dries out my face jus before i got to bed, so wen i wake up in the morning its not very oily
Reply:Use a foaming facial cleanser. Only wash once a day unless you sweat excessively. Washing your face too much will cuse your skin to produce more oil to compensate for being so dry. You can also use blotting cloths (Oil controlling wipes), makeup/facial cleansing towelettes if need be, there is also a pressed powder by Clean and Clear that reduces oil and shine and you can also use an overnight acne mask.

Keep in mind that cream cleansers leave residue on your skin.
Reply:Its a normal thing for a teenager to have a greasy complexion. Specially on the summer. But washing with soap just doesnt cut it. Try beauty products designed for your type of skin. As for the acne problem, consider visiting a dermatologist.
Reply:Wash your face everyday with alcohol!
Reply:you can put shamppo for oily hair, it does work
Reply:wash it
Reply:wash it with whatever you have there for your face..... just remember to finally rinse it with cold water and cold water
Reply:Take to a dermatologist, use benzoyal peroxide, and don't eat anything fried.
Reply:There is this great product by Mary Kay called "Oil Mattifier, .6 fl. oz." You put just a little on your T-Zone or anywhere that your face is shiny and it leaves your face with a nice matte finish without feeling over-dry. It can applied with or without make-up. You can get it online from a MK distributor and it's only about $12.00. Worked wonders for me!
