How do I prevent my face from being affected by severe weight loss?

i have been dieting and exercising for more than 3 months but the only part my body that seems to be losing weight is my face . i now have a very thin face but the rest of my body is more or less just the same(size 12). i want to loose my body fat and not loose any more face fat(i have hollow cheecks) can anyone help me out i am nearly losing hope of ever becoming a size 10. i will be extreamly greatful if anyone can help me reach my goal(size10).THANKS

Kezzy, I have the same problem. When dieting and exercising, my face is the FIRST place that the weight comes off, and the next area is my chest. Unfortunately, I think that is typical for most woman. To lose fat from your body, you need to do cardio, It is the "only"way to lose stored body fat. You need to get your heart rate up, but, be sure it is at the proper rate for your age, and size. You must do cardio at least 3x a week for 30 minutes, minimum. If you have been weight training, could you have added muscle to your body? Muscle weighs more than fat. What is your scale telling you, have you lost any weight in pounds since you began? I would suggest keeping a daily" Food Journal". When you write ALL the food and beverages you consume in a day, you might be surprised to SEE in black and white, that maybe you are eating a little more than you think. Try it, it is a great tool. Older woman(myself) have an awful time, the body could look great, but the face looks too old.
Reply:What does your exercise consist of? Studies have shown that the best way to lose weight through exercise is to do cardio exercise followed by resistance exercise (weight lifting). What is your diet like? I suggest you reduce or cut all consumption of grains, beans and potatoes, especially bread and pasta. These foods are very calorie dense.

You just need to start working out and stop 'dieting.' By working out you trick your body into becoming toner which makes you appear to be smaller, but you shouldn't lose the fat in your face because your working your lower extremities.
Reply:It seems the way we women lose weight is from the top down, I did the same thing, lost it in my face first, then my bust, etc...You do need to workout, start with walking if you are not in very good shape. If you can afford it, join a gym. They will help you do the right exercises for your body type. Light weights high reps are best to lose weight, but you need cardio in between days of your weight lifting days. Lifting weights helps you lose weight faster because you are building muscle and raising your metabolism. Good luck.
Reply:i would love to be a size 12. i suggest you stop dieting and start exercising instead. get a exercise bike, run ,swim do something that burns up the calories.
