Does sleeping face down with the pillow in my face affects my acne?

is it better if i get used to sleep face up?

Does sleeping face down with the pillow in my face affects my acne?
depends on how many times you change your pillow case. the oil from you skin and hair (even if its clean) and hair products are known to clog pores. so change at least once a week and you will be good
Reply:face down? like sideways... well i had a bad acne problem for a while... i was told to change my pillow cases every other day to keep it clean and my face, cause pillow cases collect oils and dirt from your face... if you sleep face down on a dirty pillow your face just lays in a bunch of gunk. so i wouldent make myself uncomfortable by sleeping face up... but just change the cases =0)
Reply:Yes, you should have as little contact face to pillowcase as possible, also wash the pillowcase often. Bacteria build up on the pillowcase and can certainly aggravate acne.
Reply:Whatever is on your pillow (hair products, detergent) may be irritating your skin. Talk to a dermatologist.
Reply:Not unless your pillow is dirty.
Reply:well it shouldn't
Reply:A good question, and I suspect there is an element of truth there.

We all sweat when asleep, but I would suggest by face washing before bed, and regular changes of bedding that your sleeping position should not affect your acne.
Reply:yep - unless you change your pillow case daily
