Whats the best face wash for removing make up and grime thats also good for spots too?
Face cleansing!?
i use special stuff that is very expensive, but i use neutrogena products and they have always made me happy.
Reply:got to be st ives. i dont know how i dared go out before i had it!
Reply:My girlfriend uses Eucerin mattyifying facewash, it's not to cheap at about £10 but it is one of those which is developed by dermatologists and you can tell it's good just by the packing being no frills but the price being quite high.
Reply:i don't use a face wash as found people who use have to use for life, I just use face wipes and moisturiser, have no spots and no lines and i am 34 now,
Reply:I like St. Ives apricot cleansing scrub, but it works for me. It does not work for everyone else. Depends on your skin type. Neutrogena and Clearasil have good face cleansers to.
Reply:Noxema is great!
Reply:ooh, i dont know. i normally use a make up removing cream, then just wash my face with a gentle scrub after that, neutrogena works lovely. please dont use the clinique though, its very astringent and so harsh on your skin. get something thats dermalogically tested.
or you could try olay daily facial wipes. you wet them and use it like a flannel on your face.
Reply:Noxzema
Reply:nivea
thanks for the points
Reply:Get a kind with little beads in it. Very refreshing too. Also, try using a toner.
Reply:St. Ives Apricot scrub
I even bought generic worked even better
Reply:CLINIQUE - foaming facial cleanser - i swear by this stuff, its great!! takes off all my make up and doesn't even give me panda eyes!!!
Its about £14 a tube but it'll last you at least 6 months!! so well worth the money!!!
I'd also try 'CLINIQUE exfoliator' - or 'CLINIQUE 7 day scrub' once a week for a deep pore cleanse.
Reply:I use clean and clean.. it's this wipe that cleans off the make up as well as washes your face it's like a hand towel with soap.. almost it's scrubs away all the dirt and makeup..
Reply:I use a face wash called PURPOSE. It is all natural and it is not a soap. It does not burn eyes, and it removes make-up as well. I have acne prone skin and it has done wonderful things. I use the clear liquid wash. I think it also comes in a bar. I usually get it at Wal-Mart. It is a deal.
Reply:One reason you may have spots s if your skin is quite sensitive as perversely most common and garden off the shelf skin care and cosmetics are full of synthetic chemicals that can actually cause irritation and even triggers things like acne.
It is also easy to be taken in by those products claiming to be for sensitive skin and also by others that make some sort of natural or organic inference on the label...but which prove to be based on chemicals when you check the label.
If you want to break out of the chemical skin care trap - which may also be the cause of spots and irritation - then you should choose to use Certified organic skin care products. These have to contain a minimum of 95% organic (therefore natural) ingredients.
We (our family) always use the miessence range now - because it offers a full skin care selection for any skin type plus it also has some excellent natural cleansers, and purifiers, plus a soothing gel for any flare ups which is really effective.
It is quite remarkable how different your skin feels when it is really clean - not only from daily grime and stuff, but also of the synthetic chemical residues from your TYPICAL skin creams and cleansers!!! that frankly there has NOT been enough testing on, and are the basis of most ordinary products.
On the source site below you can find (under the Education section) a better explanation than I can give about WHY everyone needs to take more care about this daily exposure to known toxic chemicals hat I believe WILL show to be a major reason why cancer rates have reached between 1 in 2 and 1 in 3 in the UK, US and other 'so called developed' countries...NOT a problem in poorer countries where basic natural things are still used for cleansing, by the way!
If you check out the 'skin care' range out you will see that there is a cleanser for your skin type, and also if you email me via Yahoo answers profile page I can send you a detailed cleansing regime that has a huge benefit if you want to try it (i have it as a word doc so can email you if you want - just let me know ;-)
Reply:use clearisil ultra it works really well and it takes off make-up and helps spots.
Reply:Hi, i have tried for years to get a cleanser that does all the things you ask and Im afraid there isnt one. Ive tried them all and they all either end up giving me more spots ot burn my skin. I have recently paid out quite alot of money for some clinique products to see if they help and i have noticed an inprovment in my skin. As clinique products are gentle on the skin and fragrance free they do the job. I have to use the mild versions as i have sensitive combination skin. I use The mild Facial wash, Number to exfoliating Lotion, and the dramatically different moisturising lotion. I have stopped getting spots in the T-zone. But there is no cure for the monthly spots we get round the time of the month. But i admit these products are really good. I would recommend doing the skin test on the clinique website itself and have a look in what they recommend for your skin type. I know they do a range especially for spots, but i think its for skins that dont irritate too easily. Good look in finding one for your skin. After all these years on wasting money on products that dont work, it was worth me buying clinique, even though its expensive.
Reply:anti bac cleanser from dermalogica expensive but is amazing
go to www.beautyflash.co.uk
Reply:I don't know how old you are but Mary Kay has a great 3 in 1 cleanser it is a part of the TimeWise system...I am 22 and use because I figure it is never to early to start fighting with wrinkles.
This creamy cleanser leaves normal to dry skin feeling clean, fresh and radiant with enhanced hydration. As it cleanses, exfoliates and freshens in one step, it begins the process to reveal younger-looking skin. Plus, with each use, your skin feels refreshed.
Reply:beauty control face wash.. its made with all natural ingredients
Reply:Simple cleanser for makeup/grime.
Once per week exfoliate with Simple exfoliator.
Reply:Jafra products.
Reply:nutrogena. the scrub wash thing. but also babywipes are great for a quick fix before bed.
Reply:Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish is wonderful. It is a cream that you massage in and then remove with a damp cloth. It gets rid of all make up and the cloth gently exfoliates. It is excellent for all skin types - i have normal skin while my sister is oily and we both adore it. I really enjoy using it and though it is a little pricey (about £10) it lasts a long time and is a cleanser, eye make up remover and exfoliator all in one. You can order it on the website, which also has a section that allows you to identify what products are best for you:
www.lizearle.com
Whatever you do, dont use anything too harsh as you dont want to strip your skin of all its natural oils.
Reply:I like all of the Aveno products and the calming face wash the best. It is very nice to your skin and it calms it down by reducing the redness and spots. It also doesn't over cleanse your skin and leave it dry and irritated.
Good luck
Reply:Nivea for all face care. go look at my pics on 360, I'm 28!
Reply:I've used a lot of different face washes, but the one brand that I always go back to is Biore. Its gentle and doesn't strip your face, but it really deep cleans your pores out.
Reply:I use Mary Kay 3 in 1 cleanser every morning and night. If I feel kind of lazy in the morning I use their new facial cleansing cloths. It's quick and simple. Works great for me.
