I have redness on my face from acne....?

I have redness on my face from acne Ive had up to two years ago. I hate having to wear so much makeup to cover it up. My face is all clear now, its just the redness/scarring that bothers me. Summers coming up and I dont want to need to have to wear so much coverup/concealer. I just want to feel comfortable with my face. Can anyone give me any help as to what I can do/use?

Are you exfoliating twice a week and using a weekly mask?

(Do this on a clean face) not on the same days.

How about a toner do you use one?

Why not rub some vitamin e on the area's after you wash it before bed. It may help. I heard using cold compress helps too -You may have to look in to laser though if none of the home treatments start to work.

Look for Sandlewood paste at an Indian food store.
Reply:try the Eucerin redness relief line. They have a moistureize that helps with the redness and then you can wear your regular makeup over it. it works well.
Reply:You should not wait this long. Scars can be permanent. Best solution is to see a dermatologist. If you can't afford that, read on.

First, don't wear makeup since it often makes acne worse. Wear make-up after the acne is gone.

When acne is red, it is inflamed. You have a local infection. It often hurts too. A doctor would have prescribed an antibiotic like tetracycline to clear the infection. Over-the-counter benzoil peroxide is also very effective at drying the skin and killing off bacteria. Some people have an allergic reaction to it. Salicyclic acid is another ingredient that is often found in over-the-counter acne treatment. This aids exfoliation. When applied regularly, it also works.

If you no longer have an acne problem but want the scar tissue removed, you need to see a doctor. Either laser treatment with the application of an exfloliant may help.

Good luck.
